Revolution Idle Souls Guide.jpg

Revolution Idle Souls are a premium currency in the game that can be used to purchase various multiplayer and cosmetic rewards. They can be earned ingame or bought using the real money, but in no way required to progress and finish the game. Revolution Idle can be completed fully F2P without any major progression walls. If you need help with the progression, Revolution Idle Ultimate Beginners Guide will help you out.

This guide is part of Revolution Idle Guides series, where you can find the rest of the guides on the game.

Earning Souls[edit source]

There are several ways how you can get Souls in Revolution Idle as f2p and you can also by them using the real-world money.

1. The easiest way to get extra Souls is to input Promotion Codes in the Shop Menu of the game. Currently there are active codes for 1500 Souls, but that might change over time, so check Revolution Idle Codes for the updated info.

2. Achievements will reward you with Souls once completed. Currently only early to mid game achievements provide Souls rewards. You can claim a total of ~15k Souls from achievements (I've calculated 14,675, but might be wrong).

Revolution Idle Daily Rewards

3. Daily Rewards provide 500 Souls on day 7 and 1000 Souls on Day 14, and some extra souls on every second day.

Daily Souls Rewards
Day Souls Total Souls
2 200 200
4 250 450
6 250 700
7 500 1200
9 250 1450
11 300 1750
13 500 2250
14 1000 3250

4. Buying Souls in the Shop. There are 3 available packs:

  1. x2,000 Souls for $0.99
  2. x11,000 Souls for $4.99
  3. x50,000 Souls for $19.99

You can watch Souls Video Guide for more visual representation and tips on the Souls Earning and Spending mechanics.

Spending Souls[edit source]

There are various multipliers that you can buy with souls, but all of them are giving you very minor buffs to the progression unless you invest large amount of souls into them. Each upgrade gets progressively more expensive as you buy it

You can spend souls on 3 multiplier categories, Time Flux or Skins.

Revolution Upgrades[edit source]

Revolution upgrades add multipliers to your circles. They can be useful in the early game and later on when you reach Dilation.

Income
Increases you Score income per revolution. It basically multiplies your score gain, acting as a basic multiplier. With 7% gain per upgrade it's the best upgrade for early investment in this category. Foe the long-term progression it's pretty useless until you hit Dilation where things slow down again.

Multipliers
A bonus multiplier (x) is added to others, this is an additive multiplier to the score. With 3% bonus per upgrade it's not as efficient as Income, unless the Income upgrade Souls price is double the Multiplier price.

Laps/s
Speed up revolution laps per second. In terms of gain it's the same as Multiplier, but it also improves Quality of Life, since laps go faster and you don't need to wait so long. Overall I'd take Laps/s over Multipliers for the same costs.

Ascension Power
Increase your Ascension Power, making Circles ascension more effective. Adds 3% per step, so for the optimal progression upgrade evenly with other Revolution Multipliers.

Prestige Upgrades[edit source]

Prestige Upgrades add bonuses to Prestige multipliers and exponent. Those upgrades will be useful most of the time prior to rapid Infinities and will kick in in Dilation phase again.

P.Exponent
Increase your Prestige Exponent by 0.1%, while second upgrade gives only 0.05% increase to a total 0.15%. With the diminishing returns here, just evenly invest Souls into each of those.

P.Multiplier
Increase your Prestige Multiplier by 1%, while second upgrade gives only 0.5% increase to a total 1.5%. With the diminishing returns here, just evenly invest Souls into each of those.

Infinity Upgrades[edit source]

Infinity Upgrades add bonuses to Infinity aspects of the game. They have diminishing returns as well, so further upgrades get more expensive and add less of a bonus too.

Infinite Gain
Increases number of infinities gained on infinity. It's not Infinity points that can be spent, it's count of infinities, that it being used as a base in some multipliers. It's actually a pretty good upgrades, since it's really hard to farm Infinities Count early in the infinities. First upgrade gives 3%, second is 4.5%, so each next is getting 50% increase of the base.

IP Gain
Increases your IP gain. Now those are the points you can spend for infinity upgrades or generators. Level 1 is 3%, lvl 2 is 4.5%, overall useful throughout most of the game, so it's a pretty good upgrade, but can get expensive pretty fast.

Gen Mult
Gives a bonus Multiplier to Generators. Generators contribute a lot to overall Score gain, and 3% will help a bit too.

Stardust Gain
Increases your Stardust Gain. I don't find this upgrade to be useful, since Stardust stage of the game goes by pretty fast and overall bonuses are not that crazy in the later game. Extra 5% won't change the situation that much, those souls better spent elsewhere.

Eternity Upgrades[edit source]

Eternity Upgrades add bonuses to Eternity game phase. They have diminishing returns as well, so further upgrades get more expensive and add less of a bonus too.

EP Gain
Increases Eternity Point gains, that can be spent in the Laboratory and to buy Animal Points. Overall, it's not so great, since once past that stage, those bonuses won't matter much, at least for now. First upgrade is 3%, second is 4.5%.

DP Gain
Increases Dilation Point gains, which is very useful for the Dilation part of the game. Since Dilation takes most of the endgame it would be best investment if you want to play long-term and reach higher Dilation scores. First upgrade is 1.5%.

Revolution Skins[edit source]

Revolution Skins provide no ingame bonuses, but make your visual experience more varied.

Revolution Idle Skins Price
Skin Souls Cost
Ring Free
Orbital 1,000
Alpha Mask 1,000
Bar Diagram 1,500
Cosmos 3,000
Clock 2,500
Prismatic 4,000
Pendulum 3,000
Retro 3,000

Time Flux[edit source]

You can also buy Time Flux using the Souls that can speed up the game time or allow you to do time warp, skipping hours of gameplay very fast.

  • 2 hours of Time Flux - 3,000 Souls
  • 8 hours of Time Flux - 10,000 Souls
  • 24 hours of Time Flux - 25,000 Souls

Soul Speding Priorities[edit source]

Since Souls provide minor bonuses to the progression there is no real need to minmax the Souls investment and the game can be completed without any of them spent for the upgrades. But if you want to give it a little bit of push you have 2 options:

1. Go for what you currently need. Upgrade those based on the tips given in the guide for each specific upgrade. Enjoy the smooth journey and once you reach endgame invest your daily Souls in the DP Gain.

2. Try to be effective and think about long-term progression. Skip Revolution Upgrades, get P.Exponent, P.Multiplier, Infinite Gain, and focus on DP Gain for faster Dilation progress.

Although it's still debatable if going efficient way will be faster, since your early game will be a bit slower and bonuses are not so powerful. Especially with diminishing returns and increased price for each step. Later on you can reevaluate your options and invest somewhere else, that helps you in the current game situation to speed up the progression.
