Revolution Idle Minerals Guide

From Game Vault

Minerals are part of the Unity prestige layer mechanics in Revolution Idle. They heavily affect the Attacks gameplay by adding additional multipliers and increase Gold Gain on prestige as well as Zodiacs Quality and Luck based on the upgrades purchased. Most of the Minerals content doesn't touch a lot pre-attack Unity content, at least in the early stages of the minerals progression.

It's a part of Revolution Idle Guides series, where you can find more guides for other game aspects.

Minerals Mechanics[edit source]

Minerals are Spawned by spending Gold. Initially you can Spawn lvl 1 mineral, in order to get higher level minerals you can merge existing minerals or increase Max Level by spending VP. Spawning higher level mineral will increase the Spawn Base Cost. It starts at 1e110 Gold and increases each mineral level by 1e10. Starting with level 50 it will increase by +1e1 for every mineral level, making cost grow faster.
Next Mineral cost will decrease overtime, affected by Local Game Speed (exclusive to the minerals tab Speed multiplier based on Game Speed) and Cost Fall multiplier.

Higher level mineral produce more VP than 2 lower level ones that are used in a merge, so always merge your minerals to the highest level. Try to get to the next Max Level or mineral level if possible before doing Time Flux or going afk etc.

Once you have a mineral it will start generating Value Points (VP). Maximum VP you achieved affects the Attacks M. Gain and Asc. Power making attacks way more powerful. You can also spend VP for various upgrades:

Minerals Value Points Upgrades
Upgrade Description Max Level Unlock Requirements
Max Level Increases Max Level of the Mineral Spawn Level ?? Unlocked by default
Grid Heights Increases Number or rows in a grid by 1 9 Unlocked by default
Grid Width Increases Number or rows in a grid by 1 9 Unlocked by default
Fall Speed Increase Cost Fall multiplier (Next Mineral Cost drops faster) ?? Unlocked by default
Luck Bonus Additional Zodiac Luck Multiplier ?? Unlocked by default
Quality Bonus Additional Zodiac Quality Multiplier ?? Unlocked by default
Gold Gain Additional Gold Gain Multiplier ?? Unlocked by default
Common Exponent Multiplier Additional Common Exponent Multiplier ?? Unlocked by default

There are other upgrades that are unlocked later in the game. They will be added as more info will be available.

If you are doing a Minerals run and want maximum Minerals progression focus mainly on Max Level upgrade, with Fall Cost as a secondary upgrade, ignoring everything else. This will allow faster mineral progression, since only those 2 affect the mineral Spawns directly. If you are doing Gold farming as well you can work on Gold Gain too. The rest of the basic upgrades are less effective for long-term progression unless you are specifically aiming for zodiac summons. Grid upgrades become cheap really fast as you progress and they are not needed unless later Minerals progression (by that time you will know which upgrades to take)

Most effective way early on is to cycle Attacks Push with Mineral Push. Extra Gold allow you to buy more mineral spawns, making you reach higher level, while working on the Minerals progression helps to reach higher Max VP that will also push Attacks, as well as Gold Gain upgrade that helps with extra gold.

Since Early on waiting for new mineral takes forever it's advised to use saved up Time Flux and 3x time to make things less tedious. Find the right time frame to get Spawn cost lot enough to be able to get a mineral, then use another Time Flux. Grindy, but necessary. It's always a good idea to Spawn highest level mineral available.

Afterwards you might be able to Spawn Minerals in bunch, several at a time prior to using Time Flux.

Grind is pretty much linear without any specific way to speed it up, just grind through it to level 30 Mineral.

Polish Prestige[edit source]

Polish Minerals Prestige resets your minerals, their upgrades and Value Points (VP) in exchange for Polish Points (PP). Amount of Polish Points earned upon prestige is based on the highest-level Mineral available in the current game.

Polish points are being used to level up weapons. Each next level gets progressively more expensive and costs more PP. Each weapon is focused on specific bonus that is being increased on level up and multiple milestones that are unlocked upon reaching that level with required weapon.

Weapon Polish Bonuses
Weapon Main Upgrade Lv.10 Lv.25 Lv.50 Lv.100
Sword Boosts VP Gain Unlocks Autospawn Unlocks VP Factor Zodiac Enchance is better Relics' effects: x1.03
Axe Empowers Mineral cost fall Start Unity with 1000 Eternities Luck Mult: x2 VP Gain: x5 Unlock Fourth Insane Trial if Third is complete
Spear Boosts gold gain Relic 1 effect is powered to your max mineral level reached Relic 9 is powered to ^(1 + (Spear lvl/100)) Unlock Second Insane Trial if First is complete Relic 17 is x1.05 stronger
Bow Boosts attacks asc. power First Mineral Upgrade scales a bit slower Relic 13 effect is multiplied by (1+ (bow lvl/10)) You don't spend any EP for animals, lab upgrades Unlock Fifth Insane Trial if Fourth is complete
Knuckles Boost to minerals' local speed exponent Sword Polish is 20% more effective Unlocks First Insane Trial Unlock Third Insane Trial if Second is complete Unlock Sixth Insane Trial if Fifth is complete

With the Mineral Polish reached your mineral progression will be way faster. Most of the time you will be working only on reaching higher mineral lvl and doing Polish Prestige without touching anything else. Your upgrade of choice should be Sword, since it allows you to reach higher level minerals faster. Occasionally you might want to upgrade Axe and Knuckles for faster new mineral price decay (very useful closer to lvl 70 mineral).

If any of the Polish Prestige milestones are within your reach - go for it. Other than that, focus on getting higher mineral level to get more Polish Points. At some point each next level will offer drastic increase in Polish Points. Moreover Weapon upgrade prices will increase as well, making it really hard to level. Combined with diminishing returns on the weapon bonuses per level it will slow down progression quite a lot.

If you feel stuck do the cycle of Attack Push, Relic Upgrades, Relic Sacrifice, Minerals Push and then Attacks Prestige. That will allow you to recover from each of those prestiges faster and become a little bit stronger and push a bit further.

Once you get access to Insane Trials, try to do them. Insane Trial one should be pretty fast and easy with a score build, while you will need to prepare for Insane Trial 2 in order to succeed. Other than that rince and repeat. Slowly push yourself to lvl 70 Mineral.

Refine Prestige[edit source]

Once you reach level 70 you can perform Refine Prestige to get Refine Points (RfP). Do not grind further and just do it straight away. The only reason to wait if you are really close to a new Weapon milestone, since those will carry over. Upon Refine Prestige your Minerals, Mineral Upgrades, Value Points, Weapons and their upgrades will be reset. The only things that remain are Max VP and Weapon milestones.

Refine Points don't grow as fast as Polish Points, even couple of levels above lvl 70 still reward 1 RfP, so grind is real. At this point there are no automation options that will help you to grind Minerals.

Spend your Refine Points on the Refine Tree nodes. First nodes will be in a pretty specific order, since different nodes have different costs. For starters buy 1 point in node 1 and click on nodes around it to unlock them and see what bonuses they provide.

Most common path for early Refine Tree is 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> 5. Keep in mind that in order to get them you will still have to do Refine Prestige that earns only 1 RfP, so most of the time you will be just merging minerals and doing Polish Prestige without touching other game modes.

Afterwards it's up to you which nodes to work on.

Usually it's not worth to push for higher level mineral in order to increase RfP gain, because in terms of RfP/min, getting lvl 70 and refining is usually the fastest way. But over time with multiple Refine Tree upgrades this balance shifts towards lvl 77 mineral and then even further.

Upon successfully reaching lvl 90 mineral and further you will start scaling for more RfP per mineral level, so try to push as high as possible at that stage.
