Floodrush is a really interesting game that combines different elements of other games. RTS + BR + Gacha. It also have some .io feel to it, lets take a closer look what new game by Supercell have to offer.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Floodrush's gameplay is a very well made mix of Real Time Strategy and Battle Royale genre. You will roam around with your troops and fight mobs and enemy champions.

As the time goes by the island will become more and more flooded, so you will be forces to move to the center and have less resources to farm and gather. In the end you will have just a little bit of land left with all the surviving players fighting each other until only one prevails.

Combat[edit | edit source]

Combat in Floodrush is pretty easy to get. As soon as enemies are close your troops will rush to fight them, doesnt matter if you are stronger or weaker. You can use your special item that can change the battle outcome quite a lot and hero skill.

Enemies[edit | edit source]

There are 2 types of enemies in Floodrush: Mobs and other Players (or bots). Mobs are pretty easy to kill and straightforward. They also drop some elixir on kill that will allow you to grow your army. Other players is a totally different topic, those guys have armies of their own and can use skills. In most cases bigger army wins, but thats not always the case, smart use of items and skills might turn the tide of battle.

Controls[edit | edit source]

Controls in Floodrush are pretty straightforward. You point and click and your hero goes there. Your army will automatically follow your hero. You can click on the barrels and chests to open them, it takes some time. Moreover you can use special item by dragging it on the area where it should be used, or the special hero skill.

Progression[edit | edit source]

Overall most progression in Floodrush is getting extra trophies and Taika Fuel to push adventure map for extra rewards. You can upgrade your heroes and minions to make them stronger, but outside of that its session based game. Gameplay: 9/10

Difficulty[edit | edit source]

Floodrush is a competitive multiplayer game, so you will have to face other players, and depending on matchmaking and your ranking you might end up in a good or bad place. Overall early stages are pretty easy, while mid-late game might pose some challenge because of meta builds and p2w players who have maxed out cards.

Difficulty: 6/10

Graphics[edit | edit source]

Graphics in Floodrush is pretty good. Overall its your usual Supercell graphics, the good thing that its not Royale game, so we've got different setting here and different set of units.

Graphics: 7/10

Sound Design[edit | edit source]

There is nothing special about sounds and music in Floodrush. Everything is done pretty well and high quality, music fits the game well. Combat and units sound effects are nice to the ear and not annoying, so everything is how its supposed to be. Sound Design: 7/10

F2P or P2W[edit | edit source]

Its hard to rate games on P2W scale that early. Overall games like Floodrush are pretty friendly to F2P players early on, but as you progress the ranks and face more skilled players it becomes harder. ATM shop in the game is inactive, but usually you can buy cards with IRL money, and make a very strong deck really fast and dominate the enemy. We will see how it will go for Floodrush.

P2W: 6/10

Gameplay: 9/10
Difficulty: 6/10

Yes.

Overall, Floodrush presents a unique concoction of real-time strategy and battle royale elements that offer a high degree of challenge and engagement.
